I read a lot of fitness books, but this one was unlike the rest. It dug deeper into the how and why. I dug deep within to understand what body I wanted and how to achieve it.
It is an easy read, but it was hard to put it down. Such an inspiring story of a man who strived to be better than good. Being a runner, I began to finally understand what I need to do to be the best I can be with hard work and the right plan to hit my goals.
The author is quite inspiring and it left me looking at how to achieve my goals in a whole new way.
Raymond has done an excellent job in creating a book that IS NOT a traditional body transformation book of here are the exercises and the diet... do this and you'll be perfect. He has provided good information and inspiration that each reader will be able to take and build their own individualized plan to reshape their body. There is even a chapter on working with your kids to help them grow up healthy.
In Dream Body, Raymond states "We need to start by loving the bodies we have right now and love ourselves enough to work on changing our bodies." This is a truth I have learned in my weight loss journey. It's amazing how much easier it is to work on being healthier and stronger when we are not tearing ourselves down with negative talk, but loving ourselves enough to make smart choices. We are worth it!!
I recommend Dream Body. I agree with the author that it is our personal responsibility to seek out good information. If you are looking to improve your health then this book is the good information you need. My favorite chapters that I got the most out of were on Finding Workouts You Enjoy and Teaching Children Good Eating Habits. As a busy working mom I am challenged to find workouts that I find motivating. Most of the workouts I've done in the past have not been interesting and I've lost motivation after a workout or two. The author presents the information and his experience and recommendations in a way that I've found motivating. Lastly, being able to teach my son good eating habits is critically important and I found the author's guidance easy to implement.

By utilizing his three simple concepts you can be successful by setting a healthy routine for yourself. Routine is key.
I especially enjoyed the famous quotes added at the beginning of each chapter and his personal stories that will help motivate me to achieve a dream body just in time for the summer swimsuit weather.
